kawasaki oil pump drives
Nov 17th, 2009, 9:53pm

heres a trap kawasaki 1500 from 87 to 99 were built with a plastic oil pump drive ( guess who bought a 98 ) except for the drifter so when i couldnt get oil pressure on sunday was time to have a look . Looks like i have caught mine in time except to replace the drive you usually have split the cases however a bloke called judge in the states has made a steel replacement which can be fitted by removing the clutch basket so im chasing one up now . There are ways of saving an expensive rebuild as soon as the oil light comes on shut it down plus the advantage of having hydraulic tappets is they will rattle when they run out of oil . Also highly recommend if you own a vulcan the vulcan riders and owners club is worth joining full of advise and tech tips or just buy triumph

Hey Mon -

Word on the street is that Victory MC will have a full blown factory outlet in Sydney Metro as of the 2nd Qtr of 2010 - currently a franchise in Newcastle ( don't know the name ) and a service centre in Penrith - Polaris Distributor ( Victory parent Co. ) - are about to make a decision on location - land - premises etc. - Suppose if they spin your wheels an HD might have a chance with you  ( Tractors, as you call them ) - I could see you out there on a 'worked' Night Rod. .......... Wink Cool Wink
